This paper demonstrates that carbon nanotubes can me aligned in epoxy under an electric field. But amine-funtionalized and pristine MWNTs were studied for their alignment under different field strengths and frequencies. The SEM images show alignment of the tubes in epoxy. It would be interesting to see the effects on mechanical performance of aligned nanotubes in these systems.
