Nomination text:
This work describes the development of a transistor which uses magnons instead of electrons as the information carriers. Magnons are quasiparticles associated with excitations of electron spins in a crystal lattice which are also known as spin waves. The possibility of designing all-magnon integrated circuits is discussed.
